In order to provide the best and safest conditions for our students, the school organizes the lessons according to sea, wind and tide conditions. Therefore, this might change every day and we can only predict the conditions and inform you a few days in advance, when we can clearly check the forecast.

Depending on the day, our school offers lessons on the two best spots to surf in Cascais, both Carcavelos or Guincho beaches. Both are sandy beaches with great conditions to learn how to surf. The two spots work with different conditions so we can choose according to daily-changing conditions.
Our meeting points might be:

For lessons including transfer, our meeting point is at Cascais train station, next to Roots café.

In order to book your lesson, you can either use our website booking system or directly pay your lesson, lessons package or combined deposit by bank transfer.

So that we can organize ourselves with our instructors, we only consider lessons directly booked on our website and all other reservations after full-payment.

We have 2 learning levels: beginners and intermediates.
Beginner lessons are for those who are going to try for the very first time, have not surfed for a long time, or for those who have already surfed a few times but still need to learn technical aspects to take it to the next step. Intermediate lessons are for those who are already comfortable in the ocean, subject to different conditions, and know how to catch a green wave without the instructor´s help. These are classes in which you learn more advanced techniques, such as positioning yourself in the waves, how to make more difficult drops, body movements, among others.

Our lessons are given both in English or Portuguese. We do, however, have instructors who are able to speak other languages, such as French, Spanish or Italian, from a provider´s perspective. Our lessons are given in a very visual way, with loads of demonstrations to make it all easier for non-native English speakers.

We highly advise you to book your lessons in advance, especially during high season, when we are often full booked. Even during low season, in order to guarantee your class, it is advisable to book a few days in advance.
